    Research Interests and Current Researches:

    Element cycling in forested ecosystems, especially below ground; soil chemistry and nutrient uptake; models for simulating plant-soil interactions, the response of plants to environmental change, and optimal growth strategies; forest regeneration and development; uncertainty in ecosystem budget.
